Northern California Fertility Medical Center (“NCFMC”) Data Breach Lawsuit

Consumer Protection Attorneys in California

Northern California Fertility Medical Center (“NCFMC”) is sending notice letters to their clients/consumers regarding a data breach incident that occurred on the NCFMC network. The NCFMC data breach may have resulted in unauthorized access to consumers personal and protected health information.

According to Northern California Fertility Medical Center, an unauthorized third-party infiltrated the NCFMC network and attempted to encrypt some of the data. Northern California Fertility Medical Center initiated a comprehensive investigation into the cause and extent of the unauthorized activity.

According to Northern California Fertility Medical Center, upon identifying the activity, Eye Care Leaders’ incident response team investigated the data breach and concluded that due to a lack of available forensic evidence, NCFMC could not rule out the possibility that consumers personal identifiable and protected health information may have been exposed to the unauthorized party.

At this time, it is unknown how many individual consumers had their information used for criminal purposes. Potter Handy, LLP is investigating the data breach and will represent consumers in the NCFMC data breach lawsuit.

On behalf of California consumers, Potter Handy, LLP and its team of experienced consumer attorneys are providing a free consultation to individuals who have been sent a data breach notice letter regarding the NCFMC data breach.
