SuperCare Health Lawsuit – Data Breach of Medical Information

According to reports, the hack resulted in the exposure of the personal information of around 318,000 individuals.

According to a notice posted on the company’s website, SuperCare Health discovered unauthorized activity on its electronic systems on July 27, 2021.

SuperCare Health retained independent cybersecurity experts to conduct a forensic investigation into the incident and assist in determining what happened. The forensic investigation revealed that an unknown party had access to certain systems on our network from July 23, 2021 to July 27, 2021.

On February 4, 2022, SuperCare Health determined that the potentially impacted files contained some information relating to certain patients.

  • Last name
  • Address
  • Social security number
  • Date of birth
  • Hospital or medical group
  • Patient account number
  • Medical record number
  • Health insurance information
  • Testing/diagnostic/treatment information
  • Other health-related information
  • Claim information
  • Driver’s license number

This information is called your personal information or your protected health information (PHI). It tells others about you and is part of your identity.
