Wolfe Clinic Data Breach Lawsuit

Consumer Protection Attorneys in California

Wolfe Clinic, P.C. mailed notice letters to their individual consumers regarding notice of a data breach that occurred in 2021. The letter informs consumers that their protected health information and personal identifiable information may have been stolen and exposed as part of the data breach.

In 2021, Wolfe Clinic, P.C. was using the electronic medical records platform “myCare Integrity,” which was provided by the practice performance company Eye Care Leaders (“ECL”). According to Eye Care Leaders, on or around December 4, 2021, an unauthorized party accessed myCare Integrity data and deleted databases and system configuration files.

According to Eye Care Leaders, upon identifying the activity, Eye Care Leaders’ incident response team investigated the data breach and concluded that due to a lack of available forensic evidence, Eye Care Leaders could rule out the possibility that consumer protected health information and personal identifiable information may have been exposed to the unauthorized party.

At this time, it is unknown how many individual consumers had their information used for criminal purposes. Potter Handy, LLP is investigating the data breach and will represent individual consumers in the Wolfe Clinic data breach lawsuit.

On behalf of California consumers, Potter Handy, LLP and its team of experienced consumer attorneys are providing a free consultation to individual consumers who have been sent a data breach notice letter regarding the Wolfe Clinic data breach.
